How to Replace the Concrete 3D Printer Motor
- 1. Electrical Connection Disconnection
- Disconnect the motor's 3-phase 5-wire power cable and encoder signal cable in sequence, mark the interface positions; pull out the aviation plug carefully, replace the plug directly if aged.
- 2. Transmission Mechanism Disassembly
- Loosen the timing belt tensioner and remove the belt (record the routing). For coupling-connected models, first remove the fixing screws to separate the motor shaft from the transmission rod.
- 3. Motor Removal
- Unscrew the 4 M6/M8 flange fixing screws with a matching tool; spray rust remover if screws are rusted. Keep the shock-absorbing gasket at the motor bottom for later use.
- 4. Base Pre-treatment & New Motor Positioning
- Clean residues and oil stains on the mounting surface with fine sandpaper (flatness error ≤ 0.05mm), apply high-temperature lithium-based grease to the timing pulley/coupling; align the new motor flange with the mounting holes, pre-tighten the screws according to the specified torque, and check the motor shaft radial runout ≤ 0.03mm with a dial indicator.
- 5. Transmission Mechanism Reset
- Reinstall the timing belt following the original routing, adjust the tensioner to achieve a 5-8mm sag when pressing the belt; correct the coaxiality of coupling-connected models (deviation ≤ 0.1mm) and complete the installation.
