Concrete Printer / Layer Delamination

How to solve concrete layer delamination (peeling)?

Shorten interlayer printing interval (5-10 minutes, prevent lower layer from setting early); adjust concrete water-cement ratio (increase to 0.45-0.5) to enhance adhesion; spray a small amount of water mist on the lower layer surface during printing (avoid drying).

Important: Layer delamination in concrete printing is mainly caused by the lower layer setting too quickly before the next layer is applied. Time between layers and surface moisture are the two most critical factors.

Concrete Printer / Poor Structural Strength

How to improve poor structural strength of printed parts?

Optimize concrete mix (increase cementitious material, reduce coarse aggregate); extend curing time (at least 7 days, keep humidity ≥80%); increase extrusion pressure during printing (ensure dense material filling).

Important: Poor interlayer bonding and low structural strength are primarily caused by excessive time between layers or insufficient moisture at the interface. Keeping the surface damp and printing continuously are the most effective ways to improve strength.
